That beautiful mane that’s on your head, that’s a crown that you never take off! We MUST protect our crowns at all cost. With that being said, let’s treat our crowns with the utmost respect. All of us with these beautiful curly manes, usually make hair contact before we make eye contact with each other! Am I right? I’d like to think so. So imagine how the rest of the world sees us bouncing our crowns around like we run this place! Talk about being in awe!
But let’s not front, I totally get it! We have our days where, whew… we are not in the mood to deal with what’s to come on wash day or sometimes when we wake up with our curls. Sometimes, we’re like what in tarnation are you doing curls? Why are you being funny? Lol
However, we have to stop treating our curls as if “dealing” with them is a chore! What if, instead of getting frustrated with our curls & the work that we put into making them
“Perfect”, we just do as they say? I always say, “I don’t wear my curls, my curls wear me. They tell me what they want to do and I just do it. “ Go with the flow of those curls. As for wash day, maybe instead of dreading it, let’s think of it as “Wow! Today is the day that I get to show my hair all the love it deserves!”
Anyway, your hair is an investment. Take care of it! And that’s what I’m here for.
